Aussiespeed AS0009 Holden Blue and Black motor 4 barrel performance manifold is not for a mild street engine, the manifold is for engines with modified cylinder heads and camshafts. The widest measurement from the cylinder head face to the widest point on the plenum side is 225mm.
Aussiespeed AS0009 Holden 6 cylinder performance manifold is designed to be used on Holden Blue and Black motor 12 port designed cast iron and Yella Terra 12 port aluminum cylinder heads. The manifold has one x 1/4 npt vacuum take off on the rear of the manifold for brake vacuum and auto transmission fitting.The carburetor can be mounted in the normal north south configuration and is also drilled for east west carb mounting how ever some additional grinding may be required when mounting carbs sideways
It is correct we do not cast in the divider between the runners on our 12 port manifold. Individual runner manifolds like DCOE webers or throttle bodies put a different demand on a wet flow manifold and with a variety of different factors on a inline 6 cylinder engine and our testing over the years a manifold must be divided from the plenum when running dividers in the intake runner . An earlier design with a runner placed at the end of the port 40mm in the end was removed from our range and never went into production. Our current black/blue motor manifold has the advantage of accepting squarebore carburettors in both front to back or side ways mounting.
The FC Holden ran 11 second quarter mile times with an Aussiespeed 4 barrel manifold and a wiff of nitrous before under going a rebuild and swapping to an Aussiespeed supercharger kit
Are you confused on which cylinder head you have. The manifold on the bottom suits 9 port red motor style cylinder heads. If you look at the position of the stud reliefs { the 1/2 holes} in the manifold to cylinder head flanges the 9 port has a centre relief hole on the front flange and a centre relief hole on the rear tab.
Top manifold is to suit 12 port black/blue motor heads and has both stud reliefs in line on the lower manifold to cylinder head flange. The AS0009 12 port manifold is around 6mm taller in the port than the AS0002 red motor 9 port manifold.
